News The
Pastor's House has a new name! We are excited to
introduce our new name. The Pastor's House is now
Family Gravity™!
Why the new name? We have been using the name "The Pastor's
House" since 2004 when we released our first DVD. This
year when we launched this website and began planning a new
series of family strengthening products we decided it was
time to register the trademark. Part way through the
process we discovered that the name was already registered
by another ministry who in the past had similar products and
services for Christian families.
While it appears that
they are no longer using the name we felt it was better to
change our name rather than deal with the possibility of
future confusion in the marketplace. We wanted to have
a name that is uniquely our own as we invest a great deal of
time and money into the launch of new family strengthening
resources.
Why "Family Gravity"
and where did the name come from?
When trying to decide upon a new name we listed our
mission statement and the types of things we hope to
accomplish with this business. We feel led to do all
we can to help hold families together in a society that is
doing everything it can to rip families apart. Of all
the forces in the world that act on a family, most
negatively, we want to be a positive force that draws
families closer together.
With that goal in mind
we set out to create a name that was unique, trademarkable
and captures our vision as simply and succinctly as
possible. Obviously the word "family" had to be in there.
The difficulty came in trying to find a word that would
promote the image of a family being held together by some
positive force. Gravity is a positive force. It
holds the planets in orbit around the sun and helps us keep
our feet on the ground instead of floating off into outer
space. The idea of gravity holding a family together
with their feet well grounded in a common goal of unity and
purpose seemed like the perfect fit. After weeks of
trying various names and searching to make sure they were
not in use else where, we were finally drawn to our new
name, Family Gravity™
. We hope families around the country are drawn to it
as well as we equip them with resources designed to help
hold their family together.
At Family Gravity™
"Holding Families Together" is more than just a slogan, it
is our mission in life!

Pastor Ken's Blog
Well, I've finally done it. I've created
a blog to go along with this website. Why a blog? It
allows me to communicate with you more frequently than our
newsletter and share some thoughts that just don't fit the
newsletter format. Now as soon as I have a thought or idea I
can post it on my blog and you will have instant access to it.
I anticipate that most of my blog posts will be
short paragraphs that can be read in a minute or two, simple words
of encouragement to brighten your day or quick, helpful ideas to
help you build lasting memories with your children.
The blog also allows you, the reader, to give
me feedback by sharing your comments to my posts. This gives
us a two-way communication that isn't possible with the newsletter.
The blog will NOT replace the newsletter.
It will supplement the newsletter. So now, Christian parents
have one more resource to help in the battle for our children's
heart and soul. It is my hope and prayer that this addition
will be a valuable one for you. Please check it out by
clicking the Pastor's Blog
button. And please be sure to leave me a comment letting me
know what you think about the new blog and our redesigned Family
Gravity™
website.
Serving Christ
and His Family,
Pastor
